Abandoned Kitten And Rescue Piglet Comfort Each Other

Love always finds its way to surprise us. It makes everything better. Love erases sadness and warms up your heart. It comes in different shapes, and we love every bit of it.

These best friends share the purest form of love you will ever see.

The Santurio Igualdad Interspecie is an inter-species quality sanctuary in El Monte, Santiago, Chile. It’s the home of Laura and Marina. Can you believe that the piglet and its cat friend became best friends overnight?

The sanctuary takes care of animals after saving them from a slaughterhouses. A lot of cuties were given a chance for a better life.

Marina’s mom left her outside. A Good Samaritan saved the kitty and it was in a bad condition. It was sick and its eyes were infected. There was almost zero chance for it to survive.

Laura’s mom was a breeder pig in the slaughterhouse. She thrived in a small cage and couldn’t even move. Sanctuary workers were devastated.

According to them, the owners of the slaughterhouse cut pigs’ tails off without an anesthetic. Their teeth were pulled out in a similar way.

Laura was saved right on time. She was given a second chance. The piglet was trembling with fear, but she found comfort in the little kitty. They became best friends!

“Since her arrival, Laura has been treated with love and care that a baby deserves, and has formed a deep friendship with Marina kitten, showing by example, that when it comes to relations of friendship and respect, no matter the species to which one belongs,” the sanctuary wrote on their website.

Believe it or not, cats and pigs can build a really special bond. Interspecies friendship has been an intriguing topic for many experts. How can different species take part in something magical?

Gordon Burghardt, a Professor in the Departments of Psychology and Ecology, and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Tennessee has the perfect explanation for this.

“There is no question that studying these relationships can give you some insight into the factors that go into normal relationships.”

Animals can give you the best lessons of life. They can teach you anything you need to know about friendship, love, support and comfort. They are here to teach you about all the real values in life.
